I have a 1700 sq. ft. home, and this humidifier can cover almost all of it, but only after consistent use. It takes about 2-3 days befoe my home is completely covered. Which is not a complaint for how small the machine is. I love the fact you can change between warm and cool mists. I have had my Venta for 3 years now and when I need to replace the filter, they are not that expensive, especially when you consider that I use mine only during the winter and replace the filter every 2 winters thus far. A great buy, cheap when compared to the quality and super competant function and output.

This really works well - humidistat has a tight tolerance - maintains humidity within 1% to 3%. Warm mist keeps the room from changing temperature (it's not supposed to heat the mist - just supposed to keep the room temp. from changing) My only concern is the "clicking" I hear - will that relay last?
Also, erratically it cycles on / off each second for a minute. I'll try customer support for that concern. Best bang for the buck...

I expected warm mist since that was part of the advertising on the box. There is hardly any difference between the warm & cool mist, defeating the whole purpose of why I bought this machine.

I use mine with RO Filetered Water, which requires no replacement filter.
